Overview
DNA Blocks (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a Shopify app that helps merchants collect and display product reviews. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how it is stored.
Data We Collect
When a merchant installs DNA Blocks, we collect and store the following:
- Shopify store domain and access tokens required to operate the app
- Order information (order number, fulfilled products, customer name and email) used to send review request emails
- Review content submitted by customers, including text, star ratings, photos, and videos
- Email addresses and names of customers who submit reviews or receive review request emails
- App configuration and settings set by the merchant
How We Use Data
- To send automated review request emails to customers after their orders are fulfilled
- To store and display customer reviews on the merchant's storefront
- To provide the merchant with a dashboard to manage, approve, and moderate reviews
- To process discount code incentives for photo and video reviews

Data Retention
Review data and customer information is retained as long as the merchant's store has the app installed. Merchants can delete individual reviews from the dashboard at any time. Upon app uninstallation, merchants may contact us to request deletion of all stored data.
Merchant Responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for ensuring their use of DNA Blocks complies with applicable privacy laws, including obtaining any necessary consent from their customers for receiving review request emails.
