Getting Started
Get DNA Blocks up and running on your Shopify store in minutes.
1. Install the App
Install DNA Blocks from the Shopify App Store. After installation, you will be redirected to the app dashboard. The app automatically creates your store configuration with sensible defaults.
2. Configure Email Settings
Before review requests can be sent, you need to configure your email settings. Go to Settings in the app.
Set your sender name and email
This is the name and address your customers will see when they receive a review request. Use something recognizable like your store name.
Choose a send delay
Set how many days after fulfillment the review request email is sent. A delay of 7–14 days gives customers time to receive and try their product.
Customize your email template (optional)
Edit the subject line, body text, and button copy to match your brand voice.
3. Add the Review Widget to Your Theme
The review widget is a Shopify Theme App Extension — it integrates directly into your theme without touching your theme code.
Open the Theme Editor
In your Shopify Admin, go to Online Store → Themes and click Customize.
Add the Product Reviews block
Navigate to a product page template, click Add block, and search for Product Reviews. Select it to add the block.
Configure block settings
In the block settings panel, choose your display mode, color scheme, badge style, and other options. Save your theme when done.
4. Approve Your First Reviews
When customers submit reviews, they appear in the Review Dashboard under Pending Reviews. Click Approve to publish a review — it will immediately appear in your widget.
